Plan your weekend: George Lopez and a visit by the Globetrotters

There are a couple of big events happening at the Yakima Valley SunDome this weekend — namely, a performance by George Lopez and a visit by the Harlem Globetrotters.

Here’s a look at a handful of things you can get out and do this weekend:

“The Last Five Years,” a musical put on at The Warehouse Theatre run Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Head on out to the Allied Arts Center, 5000 W. Lincoln Ave., in Yakima for the show. The Annual Doll, Toy and Teddy Bear Show and Sale takes place in Yakima Saturday at the Salvation Army Corps building, 310 N. 16th Ave. It runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The event includes 40 tables of collectible dolls, teddy bear furniture, doll clothes, supplies, dishes, books and more. The Yakima Chamber Orchestra Series, featuring “Like Father, Like Son” is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at The Seasons, 101 N. Naches Ave. Cost for Festival seating: $90 and available through www.yakimasymphony.org or by calling 509-248-1414.

Kinder Koncert, an event for children ages 2-10, is Sunday at the Capitol Theatre in Yakima, 19 S. Third St. Performance by the The Yakima Youth Symphony Orchestra and Yakima Ensemble for Strings.
