There are car shows and there are CAR SHOWS; the annual Vintiques Car Show at Stat Fair Park fits the latter category.

The Northwest Nationals show, typically held in late July or early August, brings in more than 1,000 street rods for a rod-run and car show. All of them were made in 1972 or earlier, and all of them are just cherry. You’ll see sedans, roadsters, drop-tops, classic sports cars, muscle cars — a lot of different cars, basically, is what I’m saying.

And that’s not all by a long shot. There’s also live music, and a Yakima Valley SunDome full of vendors, games, awards and food. It’s a family-friendly event.
